erm.. no im not the one tutoring about vibrato, but i hope those senior members and teachers out here at PV can give some personal advices for those who cant vibrato yet... like me. =) I have seen lots of youtube vids but i think its great to find some help firsthand..like here.

Panoorin mo yung vibrato tutorial ni professorV at Ben Chan sa youtube, baka makatulong sayo. Nakatulong cia sakin. Di naman ako magaling pero at least nagagawa ko naman kahit pano. Start slow.

Constant practice+Patience.

Siguro months ang aabutin nyan. Or weeks. :)

I think it depends on your degree of freedom sa left hand , then coordination with your bowing hand. Imagine na kumakanta yun violin... relaks dapat kasi cya..
Mostly nakikita ko ay death grip sa neck


yun vibrato ng bawat violinist is very distinct and different from to another due to the difference ng physique natin.

We can't copy exact one's vibrato kasi its more on how you bond with your instrument, the degree of freedom ng kamay at hugis ng kamay mo rin.

Ang hirap din kasi i-explain nitong topic na ito dahil you'll gain this by yourself. I think you need to explore on this. Like what I did, hindi naman ako tinuruan formally ng teacher ko how to do vibrato. I just developed it on my own. I tried to copy other violinists' vibrato. Tapos I listen to how I sound, nung una, medyo ma-kanto dahil hindi ko ma-coordinate yung bow at paggalaw ng daliri ko. Tapos I practiced slowly then I gain my momentum, tapos accelerate kung kaya pa. Ngayon, I'm trying to widen my vibrato and express more (pwedeng mabagal muna na vibrato then bibilis then babagal ulit)...

actually, it's a continuous process. Hindi naman tipong "one-night-only" ang pagtugtog ng violin eh. Lalo na ang vibrato.

wow, thank you for ur responses.. na-encourage ako mabuti. Last session ko kasi ng violin lessons last year nang ituro sakin ng teacher ko yung vibrato.. kaya ayun parang na 'hang' hehe... medyo naging busy din sko sa ibang bagay. Sabi nia mga half year to 1 year ko daw matutunan yon.. ngayon more than one year na since ng last lesson ko, self practice lang sa bahay when i have time, kaya malaking bagay tlga to have this PVers site, kahit minsan lang ako makavisit. Because nakakaencourage tlga mga members dito.
