Hello everyone!

I just change my strings recently, I bought Dominant Synthetic core strings. I have to say I am very pleased with the sound of my violin and I like the feel of the strings on my fingers. My problem now is with the "E string" Strings GDA respond properly, but with E I need to add more Rosins to my bow in order to make it respond properly... I am thinking it is because it is not wounded strings compared to the rest in the set.

So what brand of strings have the wounded E? where will I find it? and can I buy it in 1 piece at a time?

Baka kailangan mo lang i-break in ang bago mong strings. Give it a week or two and see if it becomes easier to play. Then, you can better decide if you really want to change the string.

Di naman kailangan pareho ang brand ng lahat ng strings mo. Try experimenting with different brands if you can. Medyo mahal lang nga. If your luthier is also where you buy your strings, ask him/her to try out different brands.

Okay naman ung string sa violin ko, kaso ung E-string lang ang problema ngayon dahil hindi agad kumakagat sa hair ng bow, maliban pag ginamitan ko ng maraming Rosin, ayaw ko ng maraming rosin dahil makapal ang alikabok nito sa violin at mahirap linisin.

Gusto ko ng wounded E-string, napansin ko simula ng gumamit ako ng synthetic core ay hinde ko na kinailangan gumamit ng maraming Rosin, gumakagat agad ang hair dito. Samantalang ang E-string ng Dominants ay hinde yata wounded dahil manipis, parang metallic string ng guitara. kaya hinde siguro kumakagat :D
