PostSubject: Strings you've tried   Strings you've tried EmptyThu Jan 20, 2011 12:04 am

Class: Metal core strings

Violin: China Hofner & Guangji Ang

D'Addario Helicore[2000 petot sa JB]

Class: Metal core strings

Clarity, Good resonance & sustain.

Violin: China Hofner & Guangji Ang

Innig[400 petot kay Cute worm]

Class: Synthetic/perlon core strings

Violin: China Hofner & Guangji Ang

Thomastik Dominants[2700 petot 15or25% off JB Music]

Class: Synthetic core strings

Comments: The best strings I tried so far. kaso disappointing talaga ang E-String nito, parang mas maganda pa ung tunog ng Helicore.

Sound Quality: Responsive, playable kaagad nang pagkakabit, wala ako narinig na mettalic sound. the best talaga ung A,D & G strings.

Violin: China Hofner & Guangji Ang

Rotosound [250 lazer yata grnd.flr SM north]

Class: Metal core strings

Violin: China Hofner

SO PV! share your experience at wag kalimutan isama kung ano brand ng violin ang ginamit para sa strings :D

Also "let us agree to disagree" share lang natin ung opinion natin at wag ipag pilitan sa iba, ok.

1.) Thomastik Vision (Light Gauge) [2,500 Php JB Music]
Type: Perlon Core

Comment: 3 - 4 days before nag-settle. 7 months life span, at mostly French Baroque Pitch A=392 Hz, Baroque Unequal Temperament

Sound Quality: Mellow. Perfect for light chamber music. ♥

Violin : La Sprezzatura

2.) #1 E, Guitar Nylon Strings - yung cheapest ng Lazer (substitute for the A string)

Comment : Some times harsh, and squeaky pero bearable

Violin : kay Sprezzy ulet

3.) Warchal Brilliant E (Gift of a Fellow PV Friend)

Comment : Softer than the Innig E, pero tighter than the Thomastik Vision E. Balak namen talaga ni Lowell yung Warchal Ametyst kaso Out of Stock sa Sound Essentials SM North ... kaya yun, pansamantala naka Brilliant muna. ^_^

Sound quality : Brilliant than the Vision E, but less brilliant than the Innig.

Violin : Sprezzy

4.) Innig E (donnated by Cute Worm)

Comment: Bright, pero matigas sa kamay. Since i'm not using chin rest and shoulder rest on my violin, nakakangawit and after less than 1 hour of playing, pagod at ngawit na yung Pinky Finger ko since i have to hold my violin with my left hand.

Sound quality : Bright

Violin : Sprezzy

Prices range from 100-200. I change every two months. pag may nakita akong bagong brand susubukan ko, hoping na medyo maganda siya. Pero ganoon pa rin ang kalidad niya. Matinis, matigas sa kamay.

And I recently tried Rotosound grabe, at the price of 250 petot (nakakahawa itong petot na to, LOL) hindi worth it.

I used these for my Parrot and Chinese Hofner.

Grrr...

So now I used Chinese strings. I noticed that the string is prone to buzz when the metal wound is just like that of the guitar. I prefer yung smooth wound kasi less yung buzzing.

Strings you've tried 112191
