I've used a valencia before.. Less than 4k ata kasi sale nun.. Reg price nasa 4.5k..
But mostly, low standard ang Premiere at Lazer compared to cremona and Fernando..

Ako Valencia ang violin ko. I bought the outfit for around 3k (mga 2.8k yata) sa JB SM North.

Somehow, most fernando violins have similar color finish.. hehehe madaling madistinguish...

Oo nga, what I meant is parepareho lang silang lima, hehe.
Regarding details and finish, di ko rin madistinguish, haha. I will make a bad judge of violins.

Hofner yata yun.

My first one is the alfred stingl. When i played it parang dalawang aluminum foil rubbing together. brrrr turned out the steel strings are the culprit:)

Not the same pero almost similar..
konting adjustment nalang yun.. :D

uhm.... quick question. Ang JB or salonga ba nag susupply pa Hofner na violin yung hand craft range nila. yung 20k up ang price?
i havent really been going to shops na kasi mostly i order online. pero i went to JB Megamall to shop for a new bow, wala na sila nung magaganda tulad ng before. So as Salonga sa cubao. I checked for their violins, Yung Hofner nila wala pang 10k yung mga prices (mostly kasi student level nalang) and Cremona and other brands im not familiar with na yung iba.
2 of my old violins came from Salonga, 23k na Hofner yung pre master level and sa JB dati 17k naman Hofner din, pero ngayon wala nang ganun ang halaga puro entry level nalang. Sa lyric naman puro Bachendorff e im not really a fan of the design.

ROS MUSIC do have HOfner na student violin level, price range is 33k above. You got two choices though, china made at yun Germany made. They both have it.

This is way better than those expensive hofners(read as overpriced). I'm not kidding. a PPO member just bought one a while ago, he sold his Bachendorff in favor of this violins. Try it you will be surprised. My viola bought by the PPO principal violist and sounded better than the 100k+ viola he was about to buy. He used that viola for his solo during the orchestra festival concert. nakaset-up na to by sir amador and he said the violins are really good considering I sell these at low prices to professional musicians. If you don't like any of these violins I can help you choose a violin that is worth the asking price.

here is ralph playing one of the violins. this is before the setup and bridge upgrade.
I ask the maker to give me a BIG disount that's why I can sell these good violins at low prices. you can play on it the whole day if you want to. These violins are good enough for PPO members so I think you have an idea on the quality of these violins. Just try all you want before you buy.

jujube fittings ( I have 30 sets of rosewood fittings 800/set if you want to change it) 6 strad and 1 guarneri model (last month I sold 4 strad and 2 guarneri model) spruce top maple back bausch bridge from sir amador adjustment and setup made by sir Amador Tamayo the strings are ok but if you want to upgrade I'll order dominant strings(2K per set) the last set I had was bought by ralph a few days ago.
the violins are made by a chinese maker who studied in italy. chinese labor cost is really low that's why they can sell cheap priced violins. 15k is already a lot of money for them. bachendorf, eastman, hofner are all chinese. these violins I have are made by one maker alone.
of course you can try the violins, that's the only way you will know if a violin is good or not. I'm willing to release the violin if you pay at least 50%, you can pay the balance in installment terms. price will depend on the violin you choose but the lowest is 15k so if you have 7500 I can let you bring the violin home.

I forgot to say that it comes with a good case and a good bow. the violin case is good, even sir amador liked it although he won't get one because he has better violin cases.
the bow is also good considering that it's a free bow(octagonal)

Thanks Rommel. Maybe around the 3rd week of November? That is if you still have the instruments available. Il be on Sg till that time. Ive arranged a viewing with Synwin too and they recommended instruments they have for my budget. Surprisingly they listed a german hofner that ive been looking for here with a Jurgen Klier, also german and a Sofia model, which is italian naman. I guess youre well familiar of them judging your music pedigree.
Btw, do you still have the carbon bows? I thought of getting a new one too and the bows they have are quite out of my budget, the cheapest i think would be a Coda and theyre bows... I cannot afford.

i like the 50% scheme, sir rommel! i guess may interest yung balance nun? this is really promising but unfortunately ni hindi nga ako maka-bili ng carbon bow from you eh, violin pa?
it's nice to know that unlike most appliances/cars/stuff we own where we rely on brand names, unbranded violins sometimes are the ones that actually come out remarkable! i think it'd more reliable to look for/learn about the violin workshop rather than the brandname.

Yep, Andrea Bang. Its the reformulated version of Tartini. They have it there at around sg $50. Sole distributor sila for most countries here sa SEAsia so i guess they might have some on stock.
